Safe Operation of your self drive boat

Rules:

1. Always operate with two people onboard at all times

2. Secure the tie off rope so it doesn’t get caught in the propellor

3. Check that you are familiar with the correct fitting of lifejackets, located underneath the seat.

4. Never operate under the influence of alcohol

Operation steps

1. check that kill switch clip (on the end of the red chord) - without this clip the engine will not start.

2. Turn key to start (and stop)

If you come into shallow water or pull up to the beach you can trim the motor up with the switch located on the throttle handle

Troubleshooting

If the motor doesn’t start when you turn the key, there is a black fuel bulb located behind the seat - squeze and release this in your hand until it becomes firm - usually 3 or 4 pumps with achieve this.
